My Story

I've lived in Boise for almost a decade now and for part of that time, I would drive up to McCall and gaze in wonder at the rapids of the Payette River. Little did I know that soon after I would be running those same rapids in just about every moment of free time I had. I quickly fell in love with whitewater kayaking and the community here in Boise. Only one problem remained, what do you do when it gets cold? I enjoy skiing as much as the next, but how was I going to get my fix for kayaking after the leaves have fallen? I knew I wasn't the only one and there was a clear need here in the Treasure Valley for consistent pool sessions available to the public. This idea then grew to offer not only pool sessions for experienced kayakers but also small group and private lessons for individuals who are new to the sport or want to try it for the first time. I'm excited about where this journey has taken me and even more so for what the future may hold. I hope through these events I can grow the paddling community here in the Treasure Valley and share my love for the sport with a new generation of capable and confident paddlers!
